Coat or down jacket: what to wear this winter?

by Opificio / Wednesday, 03 January 2018 / Published in Blog

As we get deeper into winter season, freezing temperatures are a daily occurrence and the only thing we want is to be toasty and dry without looking as a marshmallow.

So what to get out of your closet? Coat or down jacket?

Coat

Coat is very elegant and can be used throughout the day: you can wear it to get to work until you have dinner with friends.

Charcoal grey, black or camel color, a must have to keep in your closet!

Play then with details and transform your basic coat in a unique one: change ton sur ton buttons with colored ones or rhinestone buttons, giving to your coat a touch of originality.

Down jacket

We often think that down jackets are too sporty, giving us a dowdy and shapeless look.

Following our tips you will discover how to coordinate your down jacket with your cool outfit.

Long or short, so warm and soft as a cloud, you can wear down jacket in your free time choosing vivid tones as yellow, orange or raspberry color and for your glamour evenings choose black, dark blue or metallic colors.

Once you did our choice, you have now to take into account another important issue: what to wear under it?

Jeans and sneakers for example: better with coat or down jacket ? Coat can create a casual – chic look, but will I look good? And down jacket? Will it turn my look too sporty?
