What Sensitive\u00ae Fabrics is<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

Sensitiv<\/span>e\u00ae Fabrics is a patented run-resistant <\/span>technical fabric <\/span>produced by Eurojersey S.p.A., <\/span>an Italian company founded in 1959 and <\/span>based in Caronno Pertusella, in <\/span>the province of Varese. The <\/span>Sensitive\u00ae patent was born in 1990 and <\/span>launched commercially from 1993, <\/span>first in swimwear, then in lingerie and <\/span>finally in ready-to-wear.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Th<\/span>e term “run-resistant” is not a <\/span>minor detail: it means that the <\/span>fabric, even when cut, does not <\/span>unravel or fall apart. This is <\/span>what makes raw-edge cuts <\/span>possible \u2014 unfinished hems that <\/span>maintain their shape over <\/span>time \u2014 a feature found in many <\/span>pieces of our collection.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Euro<\/span>jersey works with a <\/span>fully integrated production <\/span>plant, from knitting to <\/span>dyeing, finishing and printing. <\/span>Every phase takes <\/span>place within the same facility, <\/span>under direct and continuous <\/span>control. A sustainable fabric: the SensitivEcoSystem\u00ae programme<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n
\n

The sustainability of Sensitive\u00ae is not a statement of principle. It is a structured, measurable and certified programme, launched by Eurojersey in 2008 under the name SensitivEcoSystem\u00ae.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The goal is to reduce the environmental impact of the entire production cycle: water consumption, energy, natural gas, chemicals and waste generation. These are not generic objectives: Eurojersey publishes its results every year, measured against real data.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Between 2015 and 2024, through continuous investment in production efficiency, Eurojersey significantly reduced consumption per kilogram of fabric produced \u2014 in terms of electricity, methane and water. These are concrete, documented and verifiable improvements, available on the <\/span>Eurojersey website<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Practices adopted include: energy efficiency with photovoltaic panels, heat recovery from the fume purification system, water recovery and reuse, and reduction of chemical waste. All actions that translate into a production process with a progressively lower environmental footprint.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Certifications: sustainability verified by third parties<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

Eurojersey’s sustainability is not self-declared. It is certified by independent bodies.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Eurojersey is the first Italian textile company to obtain the <\/span>Made Green in Italy<\/span><\/strong> certification, the voluntary national scheme proposed by the Italian Ministry of the Environment for the assessment and communication of the environmental footprint of products. To obtain it, Eurojersey applied the PEF (Product Environmental Footprint) methodology to the entire life cycle of Sensitive\u00ae Fabrics, measuring the impact across 16 environmental indicators \u2014 including water footprint, carbon footprint and energy footprint.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Eurojersey also holds the <\/span>UNI EN ISO 14001<\/span><\/strong> certification, renewed every year, which confirms compliance with the environmental management requirements defined by international standards.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Why a sustainable fabric lasts longer<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

There is a direct connection between sustainability and durability. A fabric produced to high quality standards \u2014 carefully selected raw materials, controlled processes, precise dyeing \u2014 is also a fabric that maintains its characteristics over time. It does not fade, does not deform, does not deteriorate after a few washes.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Crease-resistant and no-iron: it does not wrinkle. A Sensitive\u00ae piece that has been folded in a suitcase for hours returns to perfect condition simply by hanging it up. No iron needed \u2014 which also means lower domestic energy consumption.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Easy washing: machine washable at 30\u00b0, delicate cycle. Air dries in approximately two hours.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Machine wash at 30\u00b0, delicate cycle, liquid detergent without bleach, low spin. Air dry on a wide hanger, away from direct sunlight. No ironing needed \u2014 but if desired, use a low temperature setting on the reverse side of the garment with a protective cloth. Store in a cool, dry place.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
